Gocta Waterfall

Yes, although you can rent a horse and its carrier to help you in a part of the way, then you will continue walking until the water falls of Gocta. The journey has a mild to medium difficulty in its 10 kilometers round trip, in a unique setting where vegetation and birds will accompany your adventure.

This city is the capital of the department of Amazonas. It is located at an altitude of 2,500 m.a.s.l. and has a population of 35,000 inhabitants. It was the cradle of the Chachapoyas culture, submitted by the Incas and later recovered by them during the conquest of Peru together with the Spaniards, Chancas, Huancas and Cañaris. The main square, the small cobbled streets, its beautiful mansions with patios, balconies and tiled roofs are of viceregal style.
